Our story begins over 20 years ago when making BBQ sauce was just a hobby for co-founder/owner David. After he and co-/founder/owner, Debbie, moved away from Toronto to Frontenac County, David found that he had a lot of time on his hands because he wasn’t sitting in traffic all the time. Using his background as a chemist, David was easily able to scale up his sauce from the kitchen stove to a production batch made at the OAFVC. David & Sons Fine Condiments has since expanded from our original BBQ sauce to a variety of sauces.
In the process of getting ingredients for DFCBBQ sauce, David discovered the richness of the food locally offered #InFrontenac. The sauces we make contain as many local ingredients as we can source. This includes honey from a local beekeeper who knows where all his bees go and lots of garlic that is grown in the area. We even use real maple syrup from Ormsbee’s in Battersea, Ontario, in our maple sauces, which is also #InFrontenac.
